The way we live each day reflects what we value most. For believers, our lives should be lived with eternity in mind, not just the temporary things of this world. Colossians 3:2 reminds us, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” When we focus on eternal priorities—God’s glory, His kingdom, and His will—our daily decisions take on new meaning and purpose.

Living for eternity doesn’t mean we neglect our earthly responsibilities, but it does mean we filter them through a spiritual lens. Our relationships, work, and goals are all opportunities to glorify God and invest in things that last. Matthew 6:19-20 challenges us, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” Each day is a chance to store up treasures in heaven by serving others, sharing the gospel, and seeking God’s will above our own.

This week, ask yourself what eternal impact your daily life is making. Are you investing your time, energy, and resources in things that matter for God’s kingdom? Start each day with a prayer, asking God to help you live for His glory. With eternity in view, every moment becomes an opportunity to reflect His love and fulfill His purpose.
