Patience is a vital part of walking daily with God. Life doesn’t always move at the pace we’d like, and waiting can be one of the hardest things we face. Yet, patience is a mark of spiritual maturity, and it is often in the waiting that God does His greatest work in our hearts. Psalm 27:14 encourages us, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”

Walking in patience means trusting God’s timing, even when it’s different from our own. We may not understand why certain prayers seem unanswered or why some seasons feel so long, but we can trust that God is always working for our good and His glory. Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us, “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time.” Patience allows us to rest in the truth that God’s timing is perfect, even when we can’t see the full picture.

Patience also teaches us dependence on God. Instead of striving to make things happen in our own strength, we learn to surrender our plans to Him and wait for His direction. As we do, we grow in faith and discover the peace that comes from trusting Him completely. This week, ask God to help you walk in patience. As you wait on Him, let His peace fill your heart and His strength sustain you.
