Words have the power to build others up or tear them down, and as believers, we are called to speak words that bring life. Proverbs 12:25 reminds us, “Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.” In relationships, encouraging words can inspire hope, restore confidence, and deepen bonds.

Encouragement reflects the heart of Christ, who consistently spoke truth and hope to those around Him. Whether He was comforting the grieving, strengthening the weak, or calling sinners to repentance, Jesus’ words always pointed others to the love and power of God. Ephesians 4:29 reminds us, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”

This week, make it a point to speak words of encouragement to the people in your life. Whether it’s affirming a friend, praising a spouse, or cheering on a child, your words have the power to uplift and strengthen others. Let your speech reflect the kindness and grace of God.
