Missions requires resources, and faithful giving is one of the greatest ways believers can partner with God’s work around the world. Financial support enables missionaries to preach the gospel, plant churches, translate and distribute Bibles, and minister to both spiritual and physical needs in communities where Christ is not yet known. The Apostle Paul acknowledged the generosity of the early church when he wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:7, “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” When we give to missions, we are not merely supporting a project or a program—we are directly investing in souls for eternity.

Giving to missions reflects God’s own heart. John 3:16 reminds us, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God gave the greatest gift—His Son—to bring salvation to a lost world. When we give to missions, we are mirroring God’s generosity and prioritizing His desire for the gospel to reach all nations. Our financial support helps missionaries go where we cannot go, speak to those we may never meet, and reach hearts that might otherwise never hear of Christ’s love. It is an act of faith and obedience that aligns our priorities with God’s kingdom work.

Many people hesitate to give because they feel their resources are limited, but God promises to bless those who give sacrificially. Philippians 4:19 assures us, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Supporting missions is not about giving out of abundance but about trusting God to provide for our needs as we faithfully give toward His work. Whether it’s through tithes, special missions offerings, or regular financial commitments, our giving makes a tangible difference in spreading the gospel. The eternal impact of even the smallest gift is beyond our comprehension.

This week, take time to pray about how God might be calling you to give sacrificially to missions. Ask Him to give you a heart that prioritizes His kingdom over earthly possessions. Consider making a financial commitment to missions, whether as a one-time offering or as a recurring investment in the spread of the gospel. Faithful giving is an act of worship, and when done with a joyful heart, it brings honor to God. The mission field needs workers, but it also needs senders. Will you be a part of God’s great work through your giving?
