The resurrection of Jesus not only confirmed Him as Savior and King—it established Him as our living High Priest. Hebrews 7:25 declares, “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Christ is not seated in heaven idle—He is actively interceding on our behalf. He rose not only to conquer the grave, but to carry us in grace.
In the Old Testament, the high priest entered the holy of holies once a year to offer a sacrifice for the people. But Jesus, by His own blood, entered the heavenly sanctuary once for all—and He remains there, not to offer repeated sacrifices, but to represent us before the Father continually. Hebrews 4:15–16 reminds us that we have a High Priest who is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. He understands. He sympathizes. He intercedes.
This means you are never without representation in heaven. When Satan accuses, Jesus advocates. When you stumble, He speaks mercy. When you pray, He brings your request before the throne of grace with perfect understanding. He is your constant Advocate—faithful, present, and victorious. And He never sleeps, never falters, never ceases to plead your cause.
Let this truth comfort and embolden you today: you are not alone in your weakness. Your risen Savior stands for you in heaven, bearing the scars of your redemption and the heart of a Shepherd. Whatever burden you carry, you can come boldly to the throne of grace—because Christ, your High Priest, is already there, interceding for you.
